Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking a retreat with Club Garrigue. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
Club Garrigue is operated by Leatherback Travel Pty Ltd (ABN 24 631 228 898). References to “Club Garrigue,” “we,” “us,” or “our” throughout this document refer to Club Garrigue and its operator, Leatherback Travel Pty Ltd.
1. Bookings and Deposits
Reservations for Club Garrigue retreats are made via our website at clubgarrigue.com. We use WeTravel as our booking platform to process all reservations and payments.
To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit of €1,000 per person is required at the time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until your deposit has been received and you have received a confirmation from WeTravel.
Deposit payments may be made by credit or debit card through our website. Payments in a foreign currency may also be made by credit or debit card.
2. Payment Schedule
The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days prior to the retreat start date. WeTravel will send you an installment request in advance of this date.
The full payment schedule is as follows:
- Non-refundable deposit (€1,000) due at time of booking
- Remaining balance due 60 days before the retreat start date
If the remaining balance is not received by the due date, Club Garrigue reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and re-offer the place to another guest. In such cases, the deposit will not be refunded.
Retreat prices are stated in Euros (EUR). Prices are per person and include all inclusions as described on our website for the relevant retreat.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Cancellations by You
You may cancel your booking at any time through our booking platform, WeTravel. The following cancellation terms apply:
- Deposit (€1,000): Non-refundable in all circumstances.
- Cancellation more than 60 days before the retreat start date: 50% refund of the balance paid (excluding the deposit).
- Cancellation 60 days or fewer before the retreat start date: No refund will be issued.
If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim charges through your insurer. We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance.
3.2 Cancellations by Club Garrigue
Club Garrigue reserves the right to cancel or modify a retreat in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, government travel advisories, force majeure events, or where minimum participant numbers have not been met.
In the event that Club Garrigue cancels a retreat, you will be offered the choice of:
- A full refund of all payments made to Club Garrigue; or
- A credit toward a future Club Garrigue retreat.
Club Garrigue is not responsible for any ancillary costs you may incur as a result of a cancellation, including flights, accommodation booked independently, or other travel arrangements.
4. What Is Included
The retreat price includes the following, as advertised on the Club Garrigue website for your specific retreat:
- Seven nights accommodation at Domaine de la Tuilierie, Lauris, Provence, France (Sunday arrival to Saturday departure)
- All meals from the welcome dinner on Sunday through to Saturday morning breakfast, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily
- Five hands-on tuition sessions (approximately 3.5 hours each) with your dedicated teacher
- All knitting materials and project kits
- Organized local excursions as described in the program
- Complimentary transfers on the retreat start and end dates from Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) and Aix-en-Provence TGV train station
- Access to all communal spaces at the property, including the pool
5. What Is Not Included
The following are not included in the retreat price:
- International or domestic travel to and from France
- Travel insurance
- Personal spending, shopping, or additional meals or drinks outside the organized program
- Additional accommodation before or after the retreat (one additional night before the retreat start date may be available at an additional cost — please enquire at time of booking)
- Tips and gratuities (these are at your own discretion)
- Any personal expenses not specifically listed as included
6. Accommodation
All guests are provided with a private bedroom with a private bathroom. No shared accommodation is available. Room tiers (Standard, Deluxe, and Premium) are offered at different price points as described in the retreat inclusions guide.
Room allocation is subject to availability at the time of booking. While we will do our best to accommodate preferences, specific room allocations cannot be guaranteed.
7. Dietary Requirements and Allergies
Club Garrigue is able to accommodate most dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan requirements. Please advise us of any dietary needs at the time of booking or as soon as possible after.
We are not able to accommodate guests with severe food allergies of any kind. By booking, you confirm that you do not have a severe food allergy that could present a health risk in a catered group setting. Club Garrigue accepts no liability for allergic reactions arising from undisclosed or unknown allergens.
8. Health, Mobility, and Fitness to Travel
Club Garrigue retreats are designed to be relaxed and inclusive, but guests should be in reasonably good health and able to participate in the daily program.
By booking, you confirm that:
- You are in good health and fit to travel
- You have disclosed any medical conditions, mobility limitations, or accessibility requirements that may affect your participation or the experience of other guests
- You accept responsibility for managing your own health and medication during the retreat
Club Garrigue reserves the right to decline or terminate a booking where a guest’s health or medical needs cannot reasonably be accommodated.
In the event of a medical emergency during the retreat, Club Garrigue staff will assist in arranging emergency services, but we do not accept liability for any medical costs incurred.
9. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not a mandatory requirement for booking a Club Garrigue retreat. However, we strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to travel, covering:
- Trip cancellation and curtailment
- Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
- Personal liability
- Loss or theft of personal belongings
Club Garrigue accepts no liability for losses that could have been covered by adequate travel insurance.
10. Transfers
Complimentary transfers are provided on the retreat start and end dates only, from and to the following points:
- Marseille Provence Airport (MRS)
- Aix-en-Provence TGV train station
- Aix-en-Provence city centre
Transfer arrangements will be confirmed in the pre-departure information sent to you after booking. Transfers are shared with other retreat guests where applicable.
Guests who prefer to make their own way to the property should advise Club Garrigue in advance. Self-driving guests are responsible for their own transport costs.
Transfers outside the scheduled times, or from other locations, are not included and will be at the guest’s own cost. Club Garrigue accepts no liability for delays or disruptions to independent travel arrangements.
11. Behaviour and Conduct
Club Garrigue retreats are small, intimate gatherings of up to 8 guests. We ask all guests to be considerate of other participants and to contribute to a warm, inclusive, and respectful environment.
Club Garrigue reserves the right to remove from the retreat any guest whose behaviour is deemed by the retreat organiser to be inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful to the experience of others. In such cases, no refund will be issued and the guest will be responsible for all costs associated with their early departure.
12. Photography and Social Media
Club Garrigue may take photographs or video during the retreat for use in marketing materials and on social media. By attending, you consent to the use of your image in such materials unless you advise us in writing prior to or at the start of the retreat that you do not wish to be photographed.
Guests are welcome to photograph and share their own retreat experiences on social media but are asked to be considerate of other guests’ privacy and to seek permission before sharing images in which other guests appear.
13. Limitation of Liability
Club Garrigue and Leatherback Travel Pty Ltd take all reasonable care in the planning and operation of our retreats. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
- Personal injury, illness, or death unless directly caused by our proven negligence
- Disruption, cancellation, or changes to the program caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to weather, strikes, force majeure, or government restrictions
- Costs arising from delays or disruptions to independent travel arrangements
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions seeks to exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Changes to the Program
The program, activities, and inclusions described on our website represent our planned retreat offering. Club Garrigue reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the program, including substituting excursions, meals, or activities, where circumstances require. We will always endeavour to offer a comparable alternative.
In the event that a teacher is unable to attend, Club Garrigue will arrange a suitably qualified replacement. If no suitable replacement can be found, guests will be offered a partial refund or credit at the discretion of Club Garrigue.
15. Force Majeure
Club Garrigue shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic or epidemic, government action, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, or any other event that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.
16. Privacy
Club Garrigue collects personal information in connection with your booking for the purposes of administering your retreat, communicating with you, and complying with our legal obligations. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate your retreat or as required by law.

17. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
